The Challenge
A crypto trading company had working market-making infrastructure but it was hitting its ceiling. The system supported a limited set of markets and strategies. They needed an engineer who could come into an existing, complex codebase and expand it without breaking what was already running in production with real capital on the line.
What We Did
We came into the existing codebase and worked from the inside out. No rewrites. No "let's start fresh." We understood the system, identified the constraints, and expanded it.
More Markets
The original infrastructure supported a narrow set of crypto exchanges and trading pairs. We extended the system to connect to additional CEX platforms, handle new token types, and manage the operational complexity of running across a wider surface area.
More Strategies
Beyond just adding markets, we built the framework for deploying new trading strategies faster. What used to require weeks of custom development became a matter of configuration and testing. The system went from rigid to flexible.
Production Safety
This is live trading infrastructure. Real money, real risk. Every change had to be backwards-compatible, every deployment had to be zero-downtime, and every new strategy had to be testable before going live with capital. We built the guardrails alongside the features.
The Result
Over the course of a year, the total deployed capital across the platform rose by 1000%. Not because we added capital, but because the infrastructure could now support it. More markets, more strategies, more confidence in the system's reliability. The trading team went from constrained by their tech to constrained only by their ideas.
